Its a good feeling, writing after college. I don't get graded, I hardly get so much as a comment. For me, the satisfaction comes from the writing itself, that and the counter at the bottom of the page. As I stare at the screen and scroll down to the bottom, I smile and know that almost 12 thousand people have listened when I've spoke and have read when I've written.
In a few days, I will be halfway around the world, in Shanghai China. For sixteen nights and days (night here is day there) I'll be sticking my lens and notebook around this awe inspiring orientalopolis. Columbia Blog Project will become Shanghai Blog Project while I'm there and probably for a few days after--but I'll be back.
I appreciate everyone who takes the time out of their day or night to read what I've written here and I encourage your patronage. I look forward to exploring The Big Lychee with the help of Google Earth and a little gonzo journalism.
Thanks and have a pleasant evening,
The Gonzo Journalist
